Technology

Seaside Dentistry practices at the forefront of evolving dental advancements, utilizing cutting-edge technology to allow us to diagnose and treat patients in an efficient and superior manner. We are strongly committed to enhancing your dental education and treatment.

Some Of The Technology Available To Our Patients:

The iTero® Element 5D Imaging System:

The iTero® is the first hybrid dental imaging system that simultaneously records 3D, intraoral color and near-infrared imaging (NIRI). The NIRI technology detects early cavities between the teeth (at the contact sites where one flosses).  It has the ability to take digital scans and photos of all teeth, displaying the entire mouth in a 3D model. There's no need for traditional impressions anymore - as the iTero® can take a digital impression for a single crown or of the full mouth. There is an additional feature called 'Treatment Simulation', where a patient can instantaneously see what their bite and smile could look like after Invisalign®. The scanner also has the capability to record and track the conditions of your teeth and gums over time with its TimeLapse feature. Patients can witness certain conditions, such as gum recession or tooth wear, changing over time.

The New Handheld Wireless Laser NVPRO3:

The NVPRO3 Laser is the most advanced, painless and accurate laser in dentistry. Here at Seaside Dentistry, we use it for tissue removal. It's virtually painless, safe and highly effective. This could be used for hyperplastic (excess tissue/inflammation), or gum disease pockets in conjunction with gum therapy procedures, or gum shaping to obtain symmetry (specifically in the anterior zone). Oftentimes for esthetics, it is used to shape the tissue to proper heights prior to placing ceramic veneers. Dr. Pare also uses it to shape the tissue to ideal proportions following ortho treatment (braces and Invisalign).

Digital Radiographs (X-Rays)

Digital X-rays have the ability to capture exceptional images with great clarity and quality in seconds, allowing the provider and patient to view them on a monitor instantly. They expose the patients to 80% less radiation than traditional film X-rays. Radiation exposure associated with dentistry represents a minor contribution to one's total exposure from all sources, including natural and man-made. Additionally, they are better for the environment since they do not require developing.

Cone-Beam Computed Technology

CBCT imaging provides a fast, non-invasive way of addressing clinical concerns, rendering a 3D image.  A CBCT is useful for dental implant planning, visualization of abnormal teeth, evaluation of jaws and face, diagnosis of dental cavities, endodontic (root canal) diagnosis, and diagnosis of dental trauma.

In-Office Whitening

We offer both in-house whitening systems and the fabrication of custom trays for continued whitening maintenance at home.
